## About Yukon Solitaire

Yukon throws out the stock pile and deals all 52 cards straight onto the tableau, so there is no drawing and no waiting. The seven columns start like Klondike, with one card in the first column up to seven in the last and only the bottom of each column face-down, then four extra face-up cards land on each of columns two through seven. The signature rule is the freedom of movement: you can grab any face-up card together with every card stacked on top of it, even when that group is a jumble rather than a tidy sequence, and drop it wherever the destination's top card is exactly one rank higher and the opposite color.

Only a King may move onto an empty column. Foundations build up by suit from Ace to King, and dragging a single card onto a foundation places it if it fits, with the same happening automatically if you release a valid single card on empty space. Flipping a freshly exposed face-down card scores 5 points and sending a card to a foundation scores 10, with a move counter ticking up as you go. Clear all four foundations to win, and your best score is saved between sessions.

## How to Play Yukon Solitaire

All 52 cards are dealt across seven tableau columns: a Klondike-style staircase where only the bottom card of each column starts face-down, plus four extra face-up cards added to columns two through seven. Drag any face-up card and all cards above it onto a column whose top card is one rank higher and the opposite color; the moved group does not have to be in sequence. Only a King can move to an empty column. Uncover the face-down cards by clearing what sits on them, which scores 5 points each, and build the four foundations up by suit from Ace to King, scoring 10 points per card. Drop a single card on a foundation, or release it over empty space, to place it there automatically. Win by completing all four foundations, and try to beat your best score.

## Controls

Click and drag a face-up card, along with every card on top of it, to another column or onto a foundation; release to drop. On touch, press and drag the same way. Dropping a single valid card onto a foundation, or releasing it over empty space, sends it to the foundation automatically. Press Escape or P to pause and resume.

## Yukon Solitaire Tips & Strategies

1. Prioritize uncovering face-down cards, as they limit your options until revealed and each flip is worth 5 points.
2. Empty columns are powerful, but remember only a King, or a group headed by a King, can move into one.
3. Move large groups when doing so exposes a hidden card, even if the group itself is not in sequence.
4. Plan several moves ahead before committing, since there is no undo and a careless move can bury an important card.
5. Send cards to the foundations promptly, since each one is worth 10 points toward your saved best score.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How is Yukon different from regular solitaire?

Yukon deals all cards to the tableau with no stock pile, and it lets you move any face-up card along with every card above it regardless of sequence. That makes every card accessible from the start, but there is no redraw to fall back on.

### Can I undo a move or auto-complete the game?

No. There is no undo and no auto-complete in this version, so plan before you move. The only automatic help is that dropping a single valid card on empty space sends it to a matching foundation.

### How does scoring work?

You earn 10 points for each card you move to a foundation and 5 points each time you flip a newly exposed face-down card. A move counter also tracks your total moves, and your highest score is saved locally.
