How to Play Word Bridge

A start word and target word are shown. Type a whole new word into the input boxes that differs from your last word by exactly one letter, then submit it. Each step must be a valid word and cannot repeat a word already in your chain. Levels 1 to 3 use 3-letter words; level 4 and beyond use 4-letter words. Reach the target in as few steps as you can.

Type your next word into the row of letter boxes (one character each) and press Enter or tap Submit. Backspace jumps back a box. Tap Skip to swap in a new puzzle.

How are words validated?

Each submission must be in the game's word list (152 three-letter words at early levels, a large four-letter list later), differ from the previous word by exactly one letter, and not already appear in your chain.

How is my score calculated?

Solving a puzzle gives 100 points plus a bonus of (par - steps + 2) x 50 when you keep up with par. There is no move limit, but tighter solutions score more and skipping a puzzle costs 25 points.
