## How to Play Weight Balance

A single beam sits on one central fulcrum with slots at positions -4 to -1 and 1 to 4 (the centre is skipped). Each level deals out a few weights valued 1 to 5 — pick one, drop it on a slot, and the beam tilts to show the net torque. Place every weight so the torque sums to zero, then hit Check Balance to score level x 80 and move on. The number of weights grows each level, up to five.

## Controls

Click or tap a weight in the tray to select it, then click or tap a slot on the beam to place it. One weight per slot.

## Weight Balance Tips & Strategies

1. Torque = weight × distance. A weight of 2 at position 3 cancels a weight of 3 at position 2.
2. All weights must be on the beam before Check Balance will count — there is no partial credit.
3. Watch the beam tilt as you place each weight; level it out and the torque is near zero.

### What is torque?

Torque is the turning force a weight makes at a distance from the pivot. Here it is weight times slot position, and the level is solved when the total comes to (near) zero.

### Are there solutions shown after failing?

No. A wrong attempt just reports 'Not balanced!' along with the current torque, so you can adjust and try Check Balance again as many times as you need.
