Drift through an asteroid field in a momentum-driven ship, breaking big rocks into smaller, faster fragments until the whole wave is clear. Thrust nudges you forward and you keep gliding after you let go, so steering is all about managing your velocity. Each wave drops a batch of large asteroids; shoot a large one and it splits into two mediums, shoot a medium and it splits into two smalls, and a small is destroyed outright. The scoring rewards the harder targets - a large rock is 50 points, a medium 100, and a small 150 - so the broken-down fragments are worth the most per hit. The screen wraps on all edges for your ship, your shots, and the rocks, and clearing every rock spawns the next, denser wave. You have three lives, a brief window of invincibility after respawning, and collisions with asteroids are the only thing that costs you a life. Your best score is saved locally.

How to Play Space Rocks

You pilot a small ship that starts in the center of a field of drifting rocks. Rotate left or right and thrust forward; the ship keeps its momentum, so you drift onward after you release thrust and have to steer against your own velocity. Fire to break a large rock into two mediums, a medium into two smalls, and a small into nothing. Clear every rock in the wave to spawn the next, denser wave. The only hazard is the rocks themselves - if one collides with your ship you lose a life, though you respawn with a short burst of invincibility. You have three lives.
