What players will love
- Take the top discard whenever it completes or extends a meld, since you only ever pick up that single card
- Hold onto cards that fit multiple potential melds rather than discarding them early
- Remember the value chart: an Ace is 15 and face cards are 10, so dumping those into the discard hurts less than holding them
- Lay off onto the AI's melds when you can, by selecting one card and pressing Meld, to clear high-value cards from your hand
- Try to empty your hand before the AI does, because whatever is left in your hand at round end is subtracted from your score

About Rummy 500
The classic card game of sets and runs, played head-to-head against a single AI opponent, with the first to 500 points taking the game. Each round deals you and the AI seven cards. On your turn you draw, either the top of the stock or the top card of the discard pile, then optionally lay down melds, and finally discard one card to pass the turn. Melds are groups of three or more cards of the same rank, or three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. Card values are simple: an Ace is always worth 15, every 10, Jack, Queen, and King is worth 10, and cards two through nine are worth a flat 5 each. You can also lay off single cards onto melds already on the table, including the AI's. A round ends when a hand empties or the stock and discard run out, after which the points still in each hand are subtracted from that player's total. The AI melds greedily, lays off everything it legally can, and dumps its highest-value card on each discard, so going out before it does is the name of the game.

How to Play Rummy 500
You and the AI each get seven cards. On your turn, draw one card from the stock or take the single top card of the discard pile, then optionally meld groups of three or more cards of the same rank or three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. To lay off, select exactly one card and press Meld to add it to an existing meld on the table, including the AI's. End your turn by discarding one card. A round ends when a hand empties or the piles run out, and the points left in each hand are subtracted from that total. The first player to reach 500 points wins.
Controls
Tap or click cards in your hand to select them. Click the stock to draw, or click the top discard to take it. Press the Meld button to lay down a selected meld of three or more cards. Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rummy 500 involve real money?
No, this is a free, for-entertainment-only card game. No real money is wagered, won, or lost, and all scoring is purely for fun and tracking your progress to 500.
How many players are in a game?
Exactly two: you against one AI opponent. There is no player-count option. The AI melds greedily, lays off whatever it can, and discards its highest-value card each turn.
How are cards scored?
An Ace is always 15 points, each 10, Jack, Queen, and King is 10, and cards two through nine are worth 5 each. Melded cards build your total, while cards left in your hand at round end are subtracted from it.
