## About Music Box

Tap squares on a 16-by-8 step grid to drop in notes, then hit Play and the playhead sweeps left to right on a loop, sounding every note it passes. Each of the eight rows is a fixed pitch from C5 at the top down to C4 at the bottom, so a vertical stack of taps becomes a chord. The counter up top simply tallies how many note cells you've filled in.

Music Box is a free casual game that you can play instantly on FastPlayGames.com. No download or registration required — just click and play on any device.

## How to Play Music Box

A 16-column, 8-row step grid fills the screen. Each row is a fixed note (C5, B4, A4, G4, F4, E4, D4, C4 from top to bottom) and each column is a time step. Tap cells to place notes, then press Play to start the playhead sweeping across the columns on a continuous loop, sounding whatever notes sit in each column. The tempo is fixed at 200ms per step. Press Stop to pause, or Clear to empty the grid. The counter shows how many note cells are currently filled.

## Controls

Tap a grid cell to place a note; tap it again to remove it. Tap the Play button to start the looping playhead (it becomes Stop), and tap Clear to wipe the whole grid.

## Music Box Tips & Strategies

1. Stack taps in the same column to play those notes together as a chord.
2. Leave gaps between columns so the looping melody has some breathing room.
3. Higher rows are higher pitched; the top row is C5 and the bottom is C4.
4. The grid starts empty every session, so jump straight in and experiment.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What does the counter at the top show?

It shows how many note cells you currently have filled in on the grid, not a melody score.

### How fast does it play, and can I change the speed?

Playback runs at a fixed 200 milliseconds per column and loops continuously; there is no tempo control in this version.
