## About Curling

Slide your stones toward the button and crowd out the computer over eight ends. Delivery uses a two-step timing system: the aim line swings back and forth, and a click, tap, or the Space bar locks your direction; then a power meter rises and falls, and a second input locks how hard you throw. Once a stone is moving, holding the S key sweeps it, lowering friction so it glides farther and stops later. Stones travel in straight lines and bounce off each other in collisions, so this is a timing-and-placement game rather than a true curl simulation.

Each end gives each team four stones, your reds against the AI's orange, thrown into a four-ring house, and the team with the stone closest to the center scores one point for every stone it has nearer than the opponent's best. The AI throws with a randomized aim and power, making it a casual rather than calculating rival. Your total points across the eight ends are saved as your high score.

## How to Play Curling

Each end, you and the AI deliver four stones each, alternating turns. Lock your aim while the line is swinging where you want it, then lock the power meter at the strength you need. Once the stone is sliding, hold S to sweep it so it carries farther before friction stops it. When all eight stones are thrown, the team with the stone closest to the center of the house scores one point for each of its stones that is nearer than the opponent's best. Play eight ends, and the highest total wins.

## Controls

Click, tap, or press Space once to lock the swinging aim line, then again to lock the rising power meter. Hold the S key to sweep your moving stone so it travels farther. ESC or P pauses. (Sweeping is keyboard-only, so it is not available on touch devices.)

## Curling Tips & Strategies

1. Time the aim lock as the swinging line crosses your intended target instead of clicking blindly.
2. Watch the power meter and lock it lower for soft draws into the house, higher for hard takeouts.
3. Hold S the moment your stone is short of where you want it; sweeping lets it glide noticeably farther.
4. Remember stones travel straight, so aim directly rather than allowing for any curl.
5. On touch devices plan your throw carefully, since you cannot sweep without a keyboard.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How many stones and ends are there?

Each team throws four stones per end, alternating turns, across eight ends versus the AI. The team with the most total points after all eight ends wins.

### What does sweeping do, and how do I sweep?

Hold the S key while your stone is moving to sweep it. This lowers the stone's friction so it glides farther and stops later, helping you reach the house. Sweeping requires a keyboard, so it is unavailable on touch devices.

### Is there a two-player mode?

No. Curling is single-player only, against a computer opponent that throws with a randomized aim and power. There is no local or online two-player mode.
