Step into the ring for a best-of-three-rounds bout against a CPU fighter, where stamina management matters as much as aggression
What players will love
- Open with jabs; at only 5 stamina each they let you test the opponent and chip damage without emptying your bar
- Don't hold block constantly: it slows your stamina recovery to a trickle and uppercuts go right through your guard anyway
- Save enough stamina for an uppercut (18) when the opponent is blocking, since it is the only punch that ignores a guard
- Land three or more clean shots in a row to trigger the combo bonus, which boosts your damage by 1
- Watch the opponent's behavior; it cycles between aggressive, defensive, and counter-punching styles about every five seconds, so adapt when its pattern shifts

About Boxing Ring
Step into the ring for a best-of-three-rounds bout against a CPU fighter, where stamina management matters as much as aggression. Each round runs 60 seconds and is won by knockout or by holding more HP when the bell sounds; take two rounds, or finish ahead after round three, and the fight is yours. You have three punches, each trading power for stamina: a quick jab (5 stamina, 80px reach, 5-8 damage), a heavier hook (12 stamina, 70px, 10-15), and a big uppercut (18 stamina, 65px, 15-23). Hold block to soften incoming jabs and hooks down to a chip of 2 damage, but uppercuts punch straight through a guard, so reading when to drop your hands and swing back is everything. Stamina recovers at 0.3 per frame normally but only 0.1 while you're blocking, and you simply can't throw a punch you don't have the stamina for, so wild flailing leaves you empty-handed. The single CPU opponent keeps you guessing by cycling through aggressive, defensive, and counter-punching behavior roughly every five seconds, and its punches hit a touch softer than yours. Land three or more clean shots in a row and a 'x COMBO!' counter pops up while your damage gets a 1.5x boost. Your best career win total is saved between sessions.

How to Play Boxing Ring
Press FIGHT to start the bout. Use the movement keys to close distance or back off, then throw jabs for fast, cheap pokes, hooks for solid mid-cost damage, and uppercuts for the biggest hits. Hold block to cut down incoming jabs and hooks, but remember uppercuts ignore your guard entirely, so don't rely on blocking forever. Keep an eye on your stamina: each punch costs it (5 for a jab, 12 for a hook, 18 for an uppercut), and if you don't have enough, the punch won't fire. Stamina refills faster when you're not blocking. Win a round by KO or by having more HP at the 60-second bell, and win the match by taking 2 of the 3 rounds.
Controls
A/D or left/right arrows to move. Hold Space or Shift to block. J or Z for jab, K or X for hook, L or C for uppercut. On mobile, use the on-screen JAB, HOOK, UPPER, and BLOCK buttons (each punch button shows its stamina cost).

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I knock out an opponent?
A knockout happens when you drain the opponent's HP to zero. Hooks (10-15 damage) and uppercuts (15-23) hit far harder than jabs (5-8), and uppercuts pass through blocks. Landing three or more clean shots in a row triggers a combo that multiplies your damage by 1.5x, which speeds up a KO.
How does the stamina system work?
Each punch has a stamina cost (jab 5, hook 12, uppercut 18) and you cannot throw a punch if you lack the stamina for it. Stamina regenerates at a steady rate, but only about a third as fast while you are blocking. Damage and movement speed never change with stamina; running low simply locks out your bigger punches.
How long is a match?
A match is best of three 60-second rounds against one CPU opponent. You win a round by KO or by having more HP when the bell rings, and the match ends once someone takes 2 rounds (or after round 3). It is single-player only; there is no two-player mode.
