About Bounce Ball

Keep a bouncing ball climbing as high as it can in this endless vertical hopper. The ball bounces on its own each time it lands on a platform; all you do is steer it left and right to line up the next platform above. Four platform types mix up the climb: green ones are solid, blue ones slide back and forth, orange ones crumble after a single bounce, and yellow spring platforms launch the ball almost twice as high. Yellow stars float between platforms, each worth three points and counted in their own tally. Your main score is the height you reach, one point for every fifty pixels climbed. The higher you go, the narrower the platforms get, shrinking from a comfortable width down to a tight minimum, and the ball wraps around the screen edges so you can use both sides. Drop below the bottom of the screen and the run is over, with your best height saved locally.

How to Play Bounce Ball

The ball bounces upward automatically every time it lands on a platform, so your job is to steer it left and right to catch the next platform higher up. Green platforms are ordinary and give a normal bounce. Blue platforms drift back and forth, so time your landing for where they will be. Orange platforms crumble and vanish a moment after one bounce, so move off them right away. Yellow spring platforms shoot the ball up roughly 1.8 times as high, handy for covering big gaps. Grab the yellow stars for three points each. Your height is the main score, and platforms grow narrower the higher you climb. The ball wraps from one screen edge to the other, so you can drift off one side and reappear on the other. Falling below the bottom of the screen ends the run.

Use the Left/Right arrows or A/D to move the ball horizontally while it bounces. On a touchscreen, hold the left or right half of the screen to steer that way (faint arrows mark the touch zones at the bottom). The ball bounces automatically; you only control its horizontal direction.
